Stories of #EMpact

SASEM invites all emergency medicine professionals to participate in the “Stories of #EMpact” Open Mic Session at the upcoming SASEM’s 10^th assembly.

#SASEM25 Scientific committee is creating this platform where personal narratives can illuminate the profound impact of emergency medicine on both patients and practitioners. By sharing your stories, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs that define our work in emergency departments.

Session Format:

• Each storyteller will have 7 minutes to share their slides.
• Stories should focus on impactful experiences that highlight the essence of emergency medicine.

Submission Guidelines:

• We invite you to submit your impactful story that illustrates significant moments in your ED, including, but not limited to:
  • A life-saving intervention
  • An innovative approach to patient care
  • A challenging case that led to new insights
  • A quality project that helped improve patient care at your ED
  • An innovative initiative that promoted well-being and work-life balance among staff.
  • A transformative training experience that enhanced the skills of your residents or improved their learning outcomes.
